About Us

The Southern California Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (SoCalCOSH) advocates for safe, healthy, and secure jobs for all workers, and aims to disrupt the root causes of work-related injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. We expand worker power through coalition-building, direct action, education, and leadership development across California with a focus on Southern California in the Inland Empire, Orange County, and greater Los Angeles.

The organization is founded on the principle that workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths are preventable for all people.

National COSH

The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (National COSH) is a federation of local and statewide “COSH” groups (Committees/Coalitions on Occupational Safety and Health). COSH groups are private, non-profit coalitions of labor unions, health and technical professionals, and others interested in promoting and advocating for worker safety and health. The first COSH group was founded in 1972.

National COSH was formed to provide coordination among the COSH groups of national advocacy campaigns, sharing of educational and training materials and resources, and sharing strategies for improving workplace health and safety conditions

SoCalCOSH is proud to be part of National COSH. Check out the other COSH groups below:
